Currently, source of building materials become scarce in both quality and quantity. Therefore, Cuong Thuan IDICO has invested in many building stone quarries to actively supply this kind of source as a important strategy of the Company.

Three stone quarries , which were exploited from 2010, now are completed the expansion and being installed manufacturing machines by the Company , including Tan Cang 8 quarry (Tan Cang Commune, Bien Hoa City) and Thien Tan stone quarry (Doi Chua 3 stone quarry); but Binh Loi quarry will be expected to execute in 2013 due to difficulty in land recovery.

1. Tan Cang 8 stone quarry

The quarry has the exploited area of 27ha, project life of 10 years and designed capacity of 1,000,000 m3/year with the total investment of 40 billion dongs for the phase 1. Up to now, the Tan Cang 8 has been expanded and the capacity has been increased with two stone grinders 250 and 350 at 100% mining capacity.

2. Thien tan stone quarry in Ho Nai, Bien Hoa city (managed by IDICO Dong Nai)

The quarry has the mining area of 71ha and the life of 23 years with designed capacity of 2,000,000m3/year. The phase 1 from 2010  to 2013 has the total investment of 30 billion dongs with expected capacity of 30%-50% compared to the design. The next phase will be conducted from 2014 to increase the capacity to 80%-90% of the design.

3. Binh Loi stone quarry in Vinh Cuu, Dong Nai

The quarry has the mining area of 40ha and the life of 20 years with designed capacity of 1,500,000m3/year. The phase 1 from 2013 to 2015 has the total investment of 30 billion dongs with expected capacity of 30%-40% compared to the design. The next phase will be conducted from 2015 to increase the capacity to 80%-90% of the design.
